Paul began his career in financial services over 30 years ago as a management trainee with Midland Bank, then after several roles with life assurance companies changed direction and qualified as an Independent Financial Adviser realising this route offers the best advice to clients.
Working with the senior partners within Townends Accountants LLP Pauls expertise extends from specialist retirement planning through to investments and inheritance tax mitigation.
Paul graduated to his current position of director within Townends Wealth Management Ltd and now heads up the team from the Goole office.
Outside of the office Paul is a very keen angler and his competitive nature has resulted in him competing all around Europe.
Clive has been resident at Townends as an Independent Adviser since 2005 and has more than 25 years’ experience in Financial Services . During that time he has naturally built many strong and lasting relationships advising a wide variety of corporate and personal clients.
Although his specialisms and qualifications lean towards Investment and Estate Planning, Clive prefers to see himself as a general practitioner and is comfortable advising on all aspects of financial planning from business protection, retirement and investment planning, to tax mitigation.
Outside of work Clive has a passion for all things Italian, especially the food and wine, and is a keen follower of Formula One together with being a very average guitar player. He can often be seen around the villages of North Lincolnshire as the archetypal “middle-aged man in lycra” practicing for the next Tour De France, and one day perhaps he’ll be good enough to go and watch one!
